Residential & Commercial

Electrical Safety Inspections

Know exactly what’s behind your walls โ€” a thorough, licensed inspection of your entire electrical system.
Peace of Mind
Most electrical hazards don’t announce themselves. A loose connection, an overloaded circuit, or a panel with a known defect can sit quietly behind a wall for years before it causes a fire. An electrical safety inspection from Unity Electrical Service gives you a clear, honest picture of your system’s condition โ€” what’s safe, what needs attention now, and what can wait. Our licensed electricians inspect your panel, wiring, grounding, and devices against current code, then walk you through the findings in plain language, with no pressure and no scare tactics.

Why Now

When a Safety Inspection Makes Sense

An inspection is worth scheduling any time the stakes are high or the system is unknown.

Buying or Selling a Home

Know what you’re taking on, or address issues before they show up in a buyer’s report.

Older Homes

Homes built before the 1980s often have undersized service, outdated wiring, or obsolete panels.

Insurance Requirements

Many carriers ask for documentation on panel type, wiring, and system condition.

Before a Remodel

Confirm your system can support new circuits, appliances, and added load.

After Storm or Water Damage

Flooding, lightning, and fallen limbs can compromise equipment in ways that aren’t visible.

Recurring Problems

Frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or warm outlets point to an underlying issue.

Newly Purchased Property

Establish a baseline before you start making changes.

Commercial Due Diligence

Tenant improvements, lease turnovers, and code compliance verification.

๐Ÿšจ Warning signs that call for an inspection right away: burning smells, buzzing panels, scorch marks, outlets warm to the touch, or breakers that won't stay set.

Your Report

Clear Findings, Prioritized for You

You won’t get a stack of jargon. After the inspection, we deliver findings you can actually act on.
If everything checks out, we’ll tell you that too. An inspection that finds nothing wrong is still a valuable result.

Common Questions

Safety Inspection FAQ

How long does an electrical safety inspection take?

Most residential inspections take a couple of hours, depending on the size and age of the home. Larger properties and commercial spaces take longer. We’ll give you an estimate when you schedule.

How often should I have my system inspected?

Every 3โ€“5 years for newer homes, and every 1โ€“3 years for homes over 40 years old. Also schedule one when buying a property, after major storms, or before a significant remodel.

Do I need to be home during the inspection?

It helps. We’ll need access to the panel, outlets, and any areas of concern โ€” and being there means you can ask questions and hear the findings firsthand.

Will you pressure me into repairs?

No. We report what we find and explain your options. What you do next is entirely your call, and you’re welcome to get other opinions.

Do you inspect commercial properties?

Yes. We perform safety inspections and code compliance assessments for offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and multi-tenant buildings.
